Marla and her assistant did such a phenomenal job of capturing our big day and making sure that all the photos looked stellar in the end. I also can’t thank them enough for reminding me to correct my posture, ha! My husband and I have already discussed future events or photo opportunities that we want to hire Marla and her team for. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who puts a lot of love into what she does and is an absolute blast to work with, look no further, Marla’s your lady!

– Anneliese (the Bride)

I practically stalked Anneliese and Logan to photograph their wedding. I had been photographing them for years at a 1940’s event in Boulder where CakeKnife use to have a portrait studio. I just knew their wedding was going to be super stylish-fun and I was right. DIY (do it yourself) touches are trending these days, but Anneliese took it to a whole new level. She made all her own paper bouquet flowers, as well as the centerpieces and hanging flower baskets at the ceremony. Her friend Charlotte (pink hair) made her dress, which Anneliese designed. The bridesmaids dresses were made by her as well!

They married at the Molly Brown Summer House. A venue Anneliese had been obsessed with since she was a child after seeing the movie Titanic. “I was so thrilled that I got to see where the Unsinkable Moly Brown spent her summers” and now she was marrying her best friend there years later.

Her favorite part of the wedding was seeing “Logan waiting for me at the other end of the aisle. I hadn’t seen him since around 5:30 pm the day before and it is very rare we spend a night apart.” Logan’s reaction to her walking down the aisle was priceless. As a photographer these genuine moments are some of my favorites to capture.

I asked Anneliese what her advice is for other brides. She replied,

“You will stress. You will cry. You will go through all emotions possible, but it is really important to not take it out on your family or friends. Accept help when and where it is offered. At the end of the day is all SO worth it.”

To that I will agree, the day blows by fast so just enjoy it and allow us to capture it all for you!
