The only problem with picking Marla for our photographer is that we are forever ruined because we won’t use anyone else. I’m very spoiled now and Marla is the best personality, professional, and all around an amazing human. Marla happened to be having lunch at the Monaco the day I was there visiting the venue. I do believe in fate and am so glad I found my soul mate photographer. Even if it will cost Jay an arm and a leg for family photos!

I like going out on New Years Eve, but I love photographing New Years weddings more. Why? Cause I’m realizing that my clients who have their wedding on a big holiday will insure it’s a blast. They wouldn’t book up such an important party night if it wasn’t going to be awesome right? This was definitely the case with Leiah and Jay. Gorgeous, fashionable and up for anything these two came in from Virginia to celebrate their important day at the beautiful Hotel Monaco in downtown Denver. Both are foodie vegans so it’s no surprise they picked Hotel Monaco as their venue because they fell in love with their food at its restaurant Panzano. Having had meals there myself Panzano is indeed amazing with the best scallops in town.

Being an environment conscious couple they also chose one of my new favorite florists for the flowers, Florist Flintwood Flowers. The flowers are not real, but Eco-friendly stems. These ladies created gorgeous bouquets and table settings and all without making much waste for the couples bank account and the planet. Best part is they pick up all the flowers at the end of the night and re-use them.

I asked Leiah if she had any future advice for brides? Her answer:

“It’s your day. Don’t worry about anything and enjoy marrying the love of your life. The rest of the wedding is just noise. Stop and appreciate the memory.”
