It’s been exactly a year since our big styled wedding shoot up at Arapaho Valley Ranch, a 200 acre family owned guest ranch surrounded by trees and lakes near Grandby Colorado. Wedding planner Lindsay Sachs from Sachs by Collective and I joined forces to bring two real life, completely in love, gay & lesbian couples together for this shoot. We also paired up with 15 vendors to produce what we think may be Colorado’s biggest wedding styled shoot! We spent two days on this remote Colorado ranch producing art from the heart that came together after hours of research in finding the perfect couples and vendors and hundreds of emails, texts, and phone calls.  What started off as a small passionate idea when I visited AVR a few months earlier, quickly became a reality in just a short span of 30 days which is what we had to produce everything.

Lindsay and I spearheaded all the necessities needed in making this look like a real wedding. Our models went in for fittings, accessories were flown in, expensive rings were loaned, our florist hauled up her ceremony arch and flowers, a nearby bakery baked all the food off site. Every single one of our cars was packed with all that we needed to do our part of the job. As Lindsay put it after our shoot “is there such a thing as a creative hangover?” That’s what it felt like afterwards driving home! We slept in cabins, glam tents and teepees all located on the property. We popped off a few smoke bombs, ate some awesome BBQ and truly just enjoyed making beautiful imagery.

To top it all off after our shoot we all found out that BOTH couples got engaged just a few months afterwards and will be married in 2020. Woohoo!

So here it is FINALLY ready to share our killer photoshoot on this one year anniversary. It’s a lot but it’s all amazing and so proud of what we created.

Check out all the talented vendors involved at the end of the blog.
